What a caring nurse we had in Emily. The first 2 days out of ICU still required many meds and close attention. She handled all of it with ease, efficiency, and compassion. When J felt better and was gaining strength, his independent, stubborn personality came out. She was always patient with him, laughing and very positive. When it was time to move to rehab, we were sad to not have Emily as our nurse anymore. To our pleasant surprise, she came down to rehab one morning to check on us. What an encouragement. So nice to see our nurse who cared enough to follow up with us. That caring and compassion meant so much to us.
