March 2022 Honoree
Emily Berdan, RN
My dad was in the hospital for 35 nights, 36 days. We had seen many, many different nurses. When Emily got her start with my dad, she stood out from the crowd. She gave him the attention that he needed on his level. She not only did a great job, but she also loves her job and that was witnessed by my family. She doesn’t just work for a paycheck, she works from her heart. She laughed with him, she had to be stern with him at times too and he listened. His heart continued after he passed away. She went out of her way to look at obituaries, found him, and sent a card to the funeral home. Not only did she send a card, but she also typed a letter to us all. Tears to our eyes. She is an angel in disguise.
Thank you, Emily, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
