Emily was able to communicate so clearly with amazingly soft words and showed tremendous compassion.
We lost our sweet baby girl due to complications from PPROM in the middle of the night. All of our plans for a normal birth were for Sky Ridge. When the first responders initially asked me if it was okay to take her to Parker Adventist Hospital, it was a decision I had to make quickly and with mixed emotions. As it turns out, it was the best decision I could have possibly made. Every single person we interacted with was amazing, but the nursing staff took it to a completely different level that we wouldn't have been able to even ask for because we had no idea that level of amazing care even existed. I wish we had the names of everyone we interacted with to thank every single person, but we definitely wanted to recognize Emily Campbell. In a time of incredible grief and frustration, she was an amazing blessing. She was able to communicate so clearly with amazingly soft words and showed tremendous compassion. We know that without her and the rest of the nursing team, our hospital stay would not have been the same. It is so easy for great care to go unnoticed, and we do not want that to happen here. We recognize that it cannot be easy for the medical staff to experience the heartbreak we had to over and over again multiple times, so those who show the kind of strength and compassion Emily showed us deserve all the recognition in the world. There are not enough awards on this Earth to thank Emily and everyone else, but we hope to lift her up in a way that she was able to do for us in our time of need and keep that love going.
