Emily Chan, RN

During my 24-day stay at Swedish, Emily made sure to brighten my day as my nurse or to pop in to say a quick hello if not assigned to me. On my worst day of pain after chemo, she saw my distress and anxiety about making sure to get up and walk and keep eating and drinking, Emily said, “Let’s have a spa day!” She gave me warm washcloths for my headache, warm blankets, etc.

She told me it was the perfect day to relax in bed and have a lazy day. It was exactly what I needed to let my body get through the day and begin healing. Emily saved the day and brightened any day that she was my nurse. I want to recognize Emily for her compassion, excellence, and dignity, as well as many other attributes.
