She was amazing. The kindness and compassion she showed to my husband was unparalleled.
Our journey with Baptist actually began at Baptist-Union County, our hometown hospital. My husband was having chest pain. Once we arrived at New Albany he was immediately taken to a room where he received prompt medical attention and was diagnosed with a STEMI. He was then taken by ambulance to Baptist-Oxford. Upon arriving at Oxford he was taken straight to the cath lab for stent placement. He spent the night in ICU and then transfer to 5 North where he was discharged from. Throughout both hospitals, multiple departments, and units one nurse stood out the most and that was this nurse. She was amazing. The kindness and compassion she showed to my husband was unparalleled. She was professional with an excellent bedside manner. My husband never even had to hit the call light because she always anticipated his needs. Not only did she provide excellent care to my husband she also put my worries to ease. She constantly kept us up-to-date with what was going on and his plan of care. Ultimately, what made our fondness for her grow even more was finding out she was a new graduate nurse. I would have thought she had been a nurse for years. We are so thankful that we encountered her. We received wonderful care during our entire hospital stay but she went above and beyond. Baptist is lucky to have her as a part of their team.
