Emily Corona, RN

I was the BHM for this patient beginning in the ED, and then transferring up to MICU where Emily was the nurse. Right off the bat, she took a challenging situation with open arms and embraced it 100% in such a positive way. The way that she was listening to the patient, being attentive, and showing compassion was like nothing I had witnessed before. It was neat to see how much more receptive a patient can be just based on the way that they are talked to and whether or not they feel cared for. Each step of the way, Emily exemplified what it looks like to be an amazing nurse, and went out of her way on multiple occasions. As a nursing student, Emily is the kind of nurse that I hope to be some day and would feel completely at ease if any of my loved ones ever had her as their nurse.
