Emily continued to check in with me and get updates. Her kindness will never be forgotten.
I took my two-year-old son to Dr. H's office for what I thought was strep throat. I mentioned a limp and fever weeks prior that had gone away, but returned early that morning. Dr. H ordered some labs, an X-ray, and a strep swab. Emily was so kind to us throughout this process. My son was very upset as he didn't feel good. She quickly swabbed his throat and got us out to go get our labs and x-rays and get him home where he would be more comfortable.

As the strep test came back negative, labs began to roll into his MyChart. Fast forward to later that evening, my son was admitted to Cincinnati Children's with a diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, our worst nightmare.

This entire office staff has been the best support and truly incredible to us. Within 24 hours, they had a care package for not only my son but me as well. True kindness and compassion run deep in that office. Emily continued to check in with me and get updates. Her kindness will never be forgotten.

Then, it was my son's well check visit. Our first time back in that office, where many tears were exchanged among us all. This entire staff went above and beyond for us. This time A was our nurse. A quickly got us roomed so that our sweet immunocompromised son wouldn't have to be exposed to waiting room germs. She was so incredibly kind to us throughout this experience as well. As our visit came to an end, she allowed us to exit through a door that avoided the waiting room to keep our son as safe as possible.

Both these women helped make the worst time of our lives more manageable. They show compassion and kindness in the hardest of times. They're both examples of nurses I strive to be.
