I am blown away by Emily and her care. She has been above and beyond a fantastic nurse that has done everything for us. She has been an ear to me (as a parent) as I voiced all my concerns and frustrations. She was our morale booster today by allowing my son (who has been confined to a crib all week) to get outside, get fresh air, and transform into the happy, excited kid that I know. Honestly, her suggestion to have a field trip outside was SO appreciated that I can't thank her enough. Engaging C has been so hard and she knew exactly what to do and made the extra effort.

My son had gauze taped around his g-tube that I was not aware was not getting switched out. Where the gauze was taped to his skin resulted in OPEN SORES. I expected better from CHOP but because Emily is such a professional she noticed and not only changed it out but showed me proper wound management and potentially saved C from a serious infection his body would have a hard time fighting (due to polysplenia). Emily deserves to be praised for her outstanding job as a nurse and rewarded. CHOP should count its blessings Emily makes the decision to work here. She's the difference!
