I would like to nominate Emily, my labor and delivery nurse, for a DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional care she provided during my induction. From the very beginning, Emily delivered calm, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable care that made a meaningful difference in our experience. As both my husband and I have healthcare backgrounds and this was not our first induction, we especially appreciated how Emily communicated with us—she was respectful and thoughtful, meeting us exactly where we were without ever being dismissive or assumptive. Her ability to balance professionalism with genuine warmth stood out immediately. During my labor, I progressed very quickly and experienced intense pain. Emily remained calm, confident, and fully present throughout. She provided steady support and reassurance in a way that helped ground me during a very overwhelming and fast-paced delivery. Her attentiveness, promptness, and clinical skill were evident in every interaction. Emily exemplifies what it means to provide next-level nursing care. She is intelligent, compassionate, and intentional in how she cares for both patients and their families. We are incredibly grateful for the role she played in the safe and positive delivery of our son, Owen, and strongly believe she deserves this recognition.
