I brought my daughter in having multiple seizures with postical confusion. Emily did an outstanding job making her comfortable. The doctor administered Ativan & Keppra neither of which resolved the seizures. I told the doctor that last time this occurred the other doctor administered Haldol thinking it was a Hemiplegic migraine & it stopped the seizures.

The doctor today was reluctant to follow that course because it is not a typical treatment for seizures. After Ativan & Keppra were not effective. I told Emily about our previous visit. She looked up the chart from that visit and used it to advocate that maybe it should be tried since the traditional treatment failed. He agreed after their discussion & it was administered & did stop the seizures.

I am not implying the doctor was not treating her, it was just really nice to have a nurse care & advocate for her like Emily did. Thank you to all the staff I know it’s not an easy job.
