Emily Harding, RN

We conducted a medical evacuation of the patient with a GI bleed. This was Emily Harding's first medical evacuation as the lead and only nurse in the clinic. In the 2-1/2 hours that we had the patient with us, she went above and beyond, providing support to the patient and family and advocating for the patient, who had growing anxiety due to the medical evacuation. Emily's dedication to the care of the patient ensured that all meds were delivered correctly and on time and that the family and patient felt comfortable with the decision to be evacuated to Ketchikan for definitive care. Emily's actions show that she truly holds the values and ideals of nursing in her heart.
