Emily Healey, BSN, RN
My wife and I welcomed our first child in 2022. Upon arrival (nearly three months premature) we were greeted with absolute grace by Emily. The first several months were anything but easy. However, not once did Emily waiver. I truly believe she provided life-saving care for nearly a month or two straight of her shifts. She has not taken a day off as far as his care goes and is considered by my wife and me one of the most consistent and caring people we have ever met.
Lastly, Emily has become as close to a friend as possible while still understanding the overall outlook of why we are there and being extremely professional throughout. She is ALWAYS our advocate. She is never afraid to speak up as she truly knows him just as well as we do. Being there with him to cuddle and try to get him to smile is the best thing in our world. Having Emily as his nurse is a very close second. She truly loves him, and we love her back. Her selflessness, patience, care, fun-loving attitude, and professionalism make her, in our eyes, the exemplification of what it means to be a nurse.
