Emily is nominated for the extraordinary care she provides. I can think of multiple reasons to nominate her, but this instance stands out. Recently we had a patient come from the inpatient floor to have a procedure. It was obvious this patient was sick but kept in good spirits. The patient received a diagnosis that was devastating, and you could tell it really affected them. Emily transported this patient back to the floor after they recovered from anesthesia. I had noticed that the patient had a bible on their bedside. The patient expressed their faith in God. Emily offered to pray for the patient. After the prayer was over, the patient expressed their appreciation and was in better spirits. This is just one example of the outstanding care and compassion Emily has for patients.
