Emily Jo Huddy, RN
Emily Jo Huddy goes above and beyond as a nurse. I was hospitalized with a G.I. bleed causing my hemoglobin to drop into the 6s. As a result, I underwent many scopes, CT scans, blood work, and an infusion of blood to no avail. I became emotional and was crying when Emily Jo stopped in, immediately put her arm around my shoulder, and comforted me.
A few days later, my grandsons (ages 7 and 9) were coming to see me. Recently, I had lost my son (their uncle) to pancreatic cancer. My grandson's first [question] was, "Grandma, do you have cancer like Uncle?" Holding back tears, I told them I'd see them tomorrow and started bawling because at that point I didn't know what was happening to me. Emily Jo arrived to check if I needed anything, saw I was upset, and immediately consoled me, calming me down.
One other time, on her day off for training, she stopped in just to check on me. There are many more comments I could contribute. She is an absolute asset to your team. Many thanks to all the staff at 4.2, especially Emily Jo.
