She was supportive, helpful, compassionate, and caring but also respectful of our privacy as we processed our grief throughout the delivery.
I came into labor and delivery to be induced after finding out my baby had passed away at 14 weeks. I was sad, angry, scared, and emotionally exhausted. When Emily walked in and introduced herself, she immediately put me at ease with her sympathy and kindness. She took the time to sit and talk with us multiple times and never made us feel like she was in a rush to move on to her other responsibilities. She was supportive, helpful, compassionate, and caring but also respectful of our privacy as we processed our grief throughout the delivery. She went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and make sure our wishes were known and respected. It was apparent throughout our entire time with Emily that she truly cares about her patients and is willing to do whatever it takes to tend to their needs, whether physical, mental, or emotional. Emily went off shift shortly before I was discharged but took the time to write a beautiful sympathy card to send home with us. I can't think of a more deserving person to be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to helping others.
