She stayed calm and was not only professional doing her job, but friendly and caring as well.
I was induced by my doctor due to high blood pressure. Although every nurse I had during my induction process and hospital stay were great, Emily Graham went above and beyond with my care and took control when I suddenly began to deliver my baby boy. Even though the delivery could be described as “traumatic” because of how fast I progressed and the complications that had happened from when they started my epidural to the actual delivery, Emily never left my side and took control in each situation that proceeded to take place. When my water broke, the baby’s heartbeat started dropping with each contraction I had, but Emily reassured me that he would be okay. She stayed calm and was not only professional doing her job, but friendly and caring as well. When I was complete, the doctor wasn’t at the hospital at the time because he thought I wouldn’t progress as fast as I did so Emily took matters into her own hands and had to deliver my baby without a doctor's assistance. It was a very busy day on the 6th floor, so during this time she was the only nurse in the room with me. Her knowledge and skills as a nurse not only was incredible, but her bravery and fast actions kicked in quickly, saving my baby’s life as he had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice. You would have thought she was a doctor by how calm and in control she was. Even after my “unexpected” delivery, she was able to tend to my every need and really deliver the best of care I had ever had during a hospital stay. God sure placed her as my nurse that day for the best of care for not only me, but my son. I truly think Emily deserves recognition and so much more. I’m blessed to have had one of the best nurses this hospital has.
