My son was brought to the ER after an urgent care visit. We came to Memorial Hermann and were treated with prompt kindness and professionalism. Emily was the nurse assigned to our son. She was able to draw blood from our son without him being hysterical and combative. Our son is extremely afraid of needles and Emily was patient, compassionate, and very caring toward our son. She talked to him and not AT him. Big difference! She stood out among the other amazing nurses that night because she made sure our son felt safe, confident, and comfortable. She brought him a stuffed animal which just made his day! Compassion, empathy, and professionalism go a long way! Thank you, Emily!
