We thank God that Emily was on the floor when I was in labor. She noticed very quickly that our baby boy was struggling and immediately found the problem- an umbilical cord prolapse. Her quick actions and courage saved his life. We cannot thank her enough for responding as she did. She rolled with me into the OR for an emergency C-section. As I held her arm, I knew she was our saving grace that day. I was afraid of the outcome and worried if our baby would be okay... would I be okay? The entire team, along with the doctor, was amazing and literally saved our baby's life. Emily's past experiences as a nurse led her to be with us on that day. She was prepared for this situation and handled it like a professional. Not to mention, our baby's APGAR scores were perfect, his tests came back normal and he immediately thrived. Thank God for a perfect time for everything. Everything happens for a reason. Thank you, nurse Emily! We hope this comes back to you and that you are blessed beyond measure! Thank you to the entire OB unit for being so wonderful while we were there. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
