I have witnessed many nursing interactions while volunteering with Rockford Sexual Assault Counseling for the past three years. Emily's display of compassion and professionalism is above the rest. As she worked, she explained everything to the survivor, sometimes multiple times. She was kind, friendly and warm to the survivor and kept her body language neutral. The survivor had a unique story, and Emily did not show any judgment. Instead, she showed the survivor empathy in both her words and actions. She spent over five hours with this patient, and Emily maintained her professional demeanor the entire time. She was equally considerate with coworkers by thanking them for any assistance they may have given. Emily is definitely the best in #TrustTheBest.
