She calmed my fears and tears all 3 days I was here and was a delight and blessing to have in my presence and as my nurse!
During my 3-day stay in hospital, when I had a 15 A1C, not even knowing I was diabetic, I was very terrified and fearful, especially having to go on insulin, as well as pills. When I initially said I didn’t want to start on insulin (twice) out of fears I had seen with my late diabetic husband, Emily explained in depth why it was prescribed and needed, then asked if I wanted a Tele medicine appointment with the Endocrinologist, 2 days in a row, and said that my concerns were valid, in a comforting way. Then, when I finally went on it, Emily trained me in depth to administer it to myself when I was being discharged, so I would feel comfortable doing it at home alone as well as answering EVERY question I had regarding Med administration, balancing carbs in meal planning, possible drug interactions with my new diabetes drugs and amoxicillin, etc. which I am on ALL without being anything but comforting, cheery, informative, and understanding about my concerns. Again, saying the questions and concerns were VERY valid. She calmed my fears and tears all 3 days I was here and was a delight and blessing to have in my presence and as my nurse! Please clone her!!! Thank you so much for giving her to me as my nurse! Hire more nurses like her, Please!! She’s so compassionate, as well as a Brilliant Nurse!!
