My wife gave birth to our first child at Methodist West Hospital. We are ignorant of the entire process, but Emily was amazing for several reasons. Her ability to educate us on the process, be transparent about best- and worst-case scenarios, and do so while making us feel comfortable was amazing. Emily was an AMAZING coach and cheerleader to my wife during the birthing process. She stayed positive and was continually motivating, attentive, and supportive. What I think separates her from others is her ability to train another nurse during this entire process. She was patient, educational, and respectful and allowed the new nurse to ask questions, be herself, and learn in a comfortable environment. Emily was wearing a lot of hats, and she made the birth of our first child SO much easier than we expected. I would like her to know how her presence made our birthing experience amazing.
