From the start of Emily's shift with us, she was 100% committed to aiding and caring for my son. She spoke gently to him in his ear although he was asleep and more than likely wouldn't hear her. Throughout the night she rotated and repositioned his body and gave him extra pillows to ensure his comfort. Moreover, she ever helped calm my concern through an exchange of laughs. Emily definitely made our first overnight stay in the ICU an experience filled with compassion. Her constant follow through and detail-oriented approach to her role as the overnight nurse on duty exceeded my expectations. As a mother who just experienced their child have a horrific and traumatizing event, she confirmed for me that he was in great hands and would in fact be alright.
