Ms. Sanchez is very prompt with her response and displays calm leadership. As a physician, I appreciate her approach and value her leadership among the nursing staff.
We had a patient discharge/transfer at the beginning of shift. Needing no direction, Emily was on the unit helping to get the process started and stayed to ensure the patient was transferred to a higher level without incident. This take-charge initiative is not unusual for Emily as she is always on the units working with the nursing staff. She is an excellent nurse advocate who listens and works with the staff to provide the best possible patient care.
