During my first contact with Emily, I was in terrible pain, extremely anxious, and disoriented from surgery. My 2 sisters were in my room and lovingly pounced on Emily looking for answers from about 30 family members. She answered them so professionally and calmly while simultaneously making me safe and pain-free arranging the 3 different drugs. She also arranged for my regular medications sent up in minutes and talked to family members on the phone. She was the very best possible nurse to take care of me by adapting to my personality and all the different family members. For 12 hours she walked me through an extremely difficult time, step by step allowing me to place myself in her hands completely and confidently, and calmly. I have had many experiences in medical situations in 70 years but never like Emily, who through her total professionalism, kindness, and caring, used her ability to adapt to me and every other individual to begin my healing and sense of calm. Emily, you are an amazing nurse and effortlessly provided me with an amazing, healing situation that I will always remember and be grateful for.
