Exact please but clean up the bullet points: It is my honor to nominate Emily Sellers for the DAISY Award for Nurse Educators. Since joining our oncology team in September 2025, Emily has exemplified the highest standards of nursing education, professional integrity, and compassionate leadership. Her transition into this highly specialized setting was seamless, and her immediate impact has elevated the knowledge, confidence, and performance of every nurse she touches.

Emily relocated her family from Wisconsin to Illinois to pursue this role—an early reflection of her dedication to nursing education. From the moment she arrived, she demonstrated deep clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to evidence based practice. Her background in inpatient stem cell transplant and her Master’s in Nursing Education (2023) have equipped her to educate with both authority and empathy.

Emily embodies the qualities of an extraordinary Nurse Educator: she is compassionate, patient-centered, and deeply invested in the success of her learners. She creates a supportive environment where staff feel safe to ask questions, seek clarification, and grow professionally. She is a role model for adaptability, flexibility, and lifelong learning—attributes she demonstrates daily, even while managing complex family circumstances of her own.
