Emily Stoerkel, ASN, RN, PED-BC

Emily Stoerkel, Peds ED RN, helped in the NICU with staffing needs. One of her patient’s mothers, who recently delivered her baby, was complaining of abdominal discomfort. Emily asked if she could do a quick assessment and then recommended to the mother to be seen as soon as she could. It turned out that this mom needed surgical intervention, which was done the following morning. We are very appreciative that Emily has cross-trained in the NICU to help with our staffing needs, and even more thankful that she was able to recognize this mother’s discomfort and get her help!
