I was admitted into Orange Park Medical Center following a heart attack. I ended up spending Thanksgiving and Christmas there. In my time being there I met a few outstanding nurses. There was one nurse in particular who caught my attention and her name was Emily. She was my nurse when I first arrived and it has been a full year already and she has been my nurse again this hospital stay. I remembered Emily. She has made my dark days bright with her smile and compassion. For example one night I was doing some coloring to keep myself busy and I had a few extra pencils that needed sharpened, Emily took all of them out and brought them back to me sharpened.

If I needed anything she was there for me. Emily also paid very close attention to detail. Sometimes at night throughout my stay, I would wake up hungry and she would make sure to bring me a sandwich before she left for my late night snack.

My stay on the 4th floor has been one of the most memorable experiences I have had at any other hospital that I have been admitted to. Orange Park Medical Center is very lucky to have Emily as part of its crew. There have been a lot of people who have touched my heart here but Emily has not only touched my heart she has touched my soul! Once you meet her she will also touch your heart and soul. If you ever have to be admitted into this hospital you will definitely have one of the best hospital experiences. Thank you for caring and taking extra good care of me.
