Emily Verheyden, RN

We had a patient on our unit who had been there for many, many months. Emily was the first to recognize the psychosocial benefit of getting a physician order for him to go outside. The patient who had few words was all smiles after going outside. He even seemed to be more energetic and expressive. I just want Emily to be recognized for going above and beyond. As a long-term patient myself at one time, I greatly appreciate what she did for this patient.
