Emily was nominated by a grateful parent of an infant. Emily identified a heart murmur while working with mom and baby for breastfeeding support. Testing confirmed coarctation of the aorta and the baby was referred to CHOP, diagnosed with TTN and VSD. At 14 days old the baby had heart surgery. Mom said, "I feel that if it weren't for Emily being amazing at what she does, my baby could be very sick right now. I will never forget her."
