I have been in and out of the hospital four different times since 2015 and Emily has been a nurse present on each and every stay of mine, throughout all the days I had to stay. She took the time to explain certain things that I had to have done and that were new to me, like going home with a PICC line in my arm to receive IV antibiotics and the importance of keeping it clean, etc. She got to know my past and present medical problems. Emily knew I suffered from bipolar. All and all, Emily helped me feel like I mattered as a person and was not a bother to her.
