I came to the ER in crisis. I was admitted to the 7th floor. The next day I woke up scared and out of my element.
Then I met Emiry. She introduced herself to me and her beautiful smile. I know in my heart Emiry was a kind and gentle soul. She knew I was scared and confused. She took the time out of her busy schedule to sit with me and she provided comfort. I knew from that very moment that she was not just a great and caring nurse but a friend to whom I can express my feelings. She exemplifies the meaning of what a kind and compassionate nurse is. She showed empathy and in crisis, we need empathy versus sympathy. She is an asset to the organization. Thank you, Emiry, for making my stay a pleasant one.
