When my Father was initially sent to the ICU from another floor, Terry was caring for him and was so helpful in explaining what was going on. All of the medications and medical concerns regarding my Dad. As my Dad spent more time in the ICU with a poor prognosis and on the ventilator, he was always helping to fill me in on updates, explaining things in terms I could understand, and being the most compassionate and professional nurse. Today my Dad was extubated and placed on hospice care. I was happy to see that he was his nurse knowing that he would get the best care from the best nurse. He even made sure in this difficult time that my brother and I were comfortable, hydrated, and fed. As the day progressed he even brought us a recliner chair to make this process easier and relax. This experience has been the most difficult thing I have ever had to endure in my life. As we try to prepare for the loss of our Dad – The nurse made me feel informed, educated, cared for, and comfortable. He is a true DAISY Nurse.
