Emma Laster, RN

I can't tell you how amazing this nurse is, but I will try to use the best words. Emma took care of me back in October 2024, and when I came out of surgery she was the first person I saw. I was in so much pain, and nothing was keeping my pain down.

Miss Emma was a huge advocate for me and took the absolute best care of me. I ended up having a hematoma after this procedure and was taken to the ER, and Emma was there to make sure I was taken care of and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. She saved my life.

After this procedure, I was thrown into PTSD and depression. Fast forward to February 2025, and I had the same procedure done. Thank goodness Emma was my nurse in recovery! I couldn't hug her enough. The experience I have with Emma is one that I will never forget. Because of her, I was not anxious or nervous about recovering. She was there.

I am so thankful for Miss Emma. She shows all IU Health values. Her compassion and empathy towards me were out of this world. She is an absolute blessing in my life. Thank you, Emma, for being an amazing person and showing me that there are still amazing people out there. You are one heck of a nurse!
