Emma Lauria was amazing to my mom during her stay at the CCU. My fiancé and I got engaged a month before my mother’s cancer diagnosis. She was told she was moving to hospice care shortly, which meant it would be likely she would not be able to attend our wedding. The nurses decorated the whole nurse's conference room for me and my fiancé to get married with my mom. Emma and the team of nurses helped get my mom dressed and helped transfer her into a chair so that she could attend. All the nurses on the floor signed a beautiful card for us. Everyone’s kindness and generosity blew away my mom, my fiancé, my family, and me.​
