September 2025 Honoree
Emma McDonald, RN
I was admitted with pneumonia to the Med Surg unit. Nurse Emma explained the plan of care and helped me get comfortable. She started an IV for medication. She was very kind and provided me with hours of rest and sleep. All of my needs are met.
She and Lesley, the nurse assistant, went above the call of duty by taking me by wheelchair to the shower room. They provided the towels, floor pads, soap, and privacy so I could get a shower. They took me back to my room. They cleaned up my room and cleaned my sheets. I never had to wait for my call light to be answered. Emma was very competent and professional, and very pleasant.

Thank you, Emma, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
