April 2024 Honoree
Emma Selden, BSN, RN
Emma Selden had a very difficult patient that arrived at her unit after attacking a staff member at the long-term care facility. Emma worked diligently to help stabilize his mood while hospitalized. Emma completed the paperwork needed for his new group home and spoke with the Case Manager at CMH and the behavioral psychologist to help them make a plan on how best to serve the patient in the community. Emma picked up a shift when the patient was discharging to help with his discharge. Truly amazing!
Thank you, Emma, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
