My wife and I would like to nominate Midwife Emma Watson of MGP for the DAISY Award in recognition of the excellent care she provided to us during my wife's labour. My wife and I feel that Emma should be recognised for her professionalism, compassion, and empathy. Emma did an excellent job at explaining the different options and their risks in a manner that made us feel empowered instead of scared.
Nurses and Midwives are always wonderfully compassionate people and Emma is no exception. Emma's compassion was genuine and because of this, my wife and I quickly developed a deep trust in Emma's care despite only having met her once prior to the day.
