Emmalea Kilpatrick, LPN

I work as a CNA on the Med-Surg floor with Emmalea, who is an LPN. We recently had a patient who was going through a hard time and forgetting things. This patient would sometimes get angry and yell from being confused. The patient would also cry from being scared. Emmalea showed the most compassion I've ever seen a nurse give. She sat with the patient (when time allowed), holding her hand, talking to her, and letting her know it was going to be okay. Emmalea continued to go into the patient's room throughout the entire night just to make her feel safe and calm. Emmalea works hard at what she does but shows compassion, caring, kindness, and love towards her patients. She should be celebrated and honored. I'm so thankful to work with someone like her.
