Emmaline A Sellers, RN

Our mother started to have a rapid decline, and it was discovered that she had a large aortic aneurysm that was dissecting. Our family was in disbelief and had so much hope that she would bounce back, as she had so many times before. We are a large family, and she has seven children. Emmaline Sellers was assigned to us as our nurse for several days. Emma demonstrated such compassion and knowledge. Her communication style was soft, gentle, comforting, and informative. She has a strong knowledge base and a caring heart.

Emma took the time to learn about her mother, not only as a sick person but when she was well. She learned about our family quickly and was able to use that knowledge to anticipate our needs. She helped us understand the severity of her condition and allowed us the time we needed to accept. Her gentle and calm approach was witnessed as we watched her care for our dying mother. Our mother wanted to hold Emma‘s hand, and Emma stood there and held her hand until she was released from that sweet request. That let us all know that our mother approved. Emma is a rare find and a true gem.
