Manny never touched my mom without first explaining what he would be doing. Manny is such a kind and gentle soul who truly cares about his patients.
Manny is an invaluable member of the team! In my opinion, he is the epitome of a DAISY Nurse. He is knowledgeable; his care is beyond Excellent as well as his willingness to help all staff in the ICU. My mom was placed in the ICU due to problems with her breathing among other health issues. She also suffers from dementia. Her nurse, Manny, was such an excellent nurse while taking care of my mom. Even though my mom was under sedation, Manny would still talk to her and explain everything he was doing to her for her treatments.

Upon my mom waking up, Manny continued his excellent bedside manner. He was always in a Great mood. Not only was he explaining things to me but to my mom as well even while she was under sedation. He always spoke to my mom in a kind uplifting manner and always gave positive feedback.

Manny has always greeted me and always tried to make my mom smile and lift her spirits and tried to motivate her to eat. Manny never touched my mom without first explaining what he would be doing. Manny is such a kind and gentle soul who truly cares about his patients. Every time I went to visit my mom, he made sure to come to give me an update on my mom's status. I never once saw Manny in a bad mood despite the fact that he took care of my mom the whole time she was in ICU. Because my mom suffers from dementia, she tends to ask the same questions over and over and Manny would continue to answer my mom's questions never expressing anger or ignoring her. Manny would answer my mom's repetitive questions as though she was asking him for the first time. He always made sure my mom was comfortable. I can't express just how thankful and grateful I am that my mom was being taken care of by a nurse who was so caring and gentle like Manny. My mom was moved out of the ICU and my mom was still asking for Manny. I guess it is safe to say that he made a good impression with her as much as he did with my sisters and me.
