During this Covid epidemic, the ambulatory care department and Enas have shown exemplary and outstanding organizational management skills.
Ambulatory care covers many clinics and departments within the hospital, and organizing and managing over 2000 patient visits per day is very challenging. This being said it is sometimes the most overlooked area of the nursing department due to the limited time spent with the patient. During this Covid epidemic, the ambulatory care department and its supervisor have shown exemplary and outstanding organizational management skills. This includes change management, encouraging staff for upskilling in other areas requiring RN input, insight, and foresight into the daily changing requirements of patient needs, and managing staffing strategies to support the hospital and its services. Ms. Enass has gone above and beyond the normal working practices of her role and remit to ensure safe consistent services with highly skilled staff are available to support the SFHP patients and their families, and support the psychosocial needs of her staff during this trying time. It gives me great pleasure to recognize her 35 years of service to the hospital.
