The Enhanced Care Team works tirelessly with the most vulnerable and often challenging patients across the Trust and uses their additional skills to support ward teams to maintain safety but also to reduce distress in those patients who require additional support and observation.
I recently received feedback from a patient's daughter who said that the team made a huge difference to her mother who was struggling with her dementia whilst in hospital. She said that the team was patient and showed great kindness to her mother whilst going above and beyond to support her.
She said that they were worth their weight in gold, and I, as the service lead, was incredibly proud of this team who work hard to make a difference to their patients.
