My dad was experiencing "sundowner" disorientation due to his advanced age and unfamiliar surroundings of the hospital. Eralene did her best to calm him down and alleviate his anxiety during the nightshift after I had left the hospital for the day. Unfortunately, my dad's disorientation and anxiety became much worse on one particular night and Eralene had the great idea to call me so I could speak with him. Hearing my familiar voice greatly reduced his anxiety and he calmed down. It is comforting to know that Eralene looks out for my dad's mental wellbeing and comfort in addition to his physical needs. My family is very grateful for Eralene's attentiveness, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile for my dad.
