When Eric finds something to bond with a patient over he really spends time talking with them and seems to truly enjoy his time with them. One time he had a patient who had their guitar with them in the room and Eric spent hours over his work week helping to distract the patient by talking about music and bands and taking turns playing on the guitar.
More recently, Eric was also spotted seated in another patient’s room for extended periods of time apparently relaxed and having an easygoing conversation with them. I don’t know what the patient’s situation was or what they spoke about, but the way Eric bonded with his patient and probably put him at ease while also obviously genuinely enjoying his company was inspiring.
