Eric Brickson, MSN, RN

Eric made himself a primary nurse for a complex patient with a long, complicated ICU stay which started in September 2021. He went above and beyond for the patient by coordinating with the family for them to visit the patient (drips, vent, and all) outside the hospital for the winter holidays. Not only did he do this once, but twice!! The patient's two teen and young adult children who live out of town were able to see their father in person for the first time in many months as well as a reunion with the family dogs who missed the patient dearly. Eric went above and beyond the call of duty to provide the most excellent patient and family-centered care to this patient.
