Eric Owens 2024, RN

I have been hospitalized three times in this hospital and have never felt comfortable with a male nurse .... Why? Because of being morbidly obese, my body and my self-esteem. Eric is an angel – I can't believe I didn't feel self-conscious; he was so respectful and empathetic; he never rolled his eyes like people have before. He never made a face of disgust. Eric cared about all the puzzle pieces to get me in a better shape and not get worse. He always had a smile and a positive attitude and was very respectful. Whenever I pushed the nurse call button, he would answer me immediately. His smile, help, and actions were genuine; he didn't see me as one more of his tasks. He saw me with empathy- as a human. Eric knew my needs and insecurities even before I opened my mouth. That made me comfortable. Thank you, Eric!
