As a patient at Riverside Hospital for 12 days, it was a traumatic experience. During my stay I was blessed to have an angel, Erica Boyd as my nurse in the surgical unit. During the 9th and 10th day of my stay, I was depressed, afraid and nervous and then God sent me Erica Boyd. What a relief to have a nurse who was compassionate, pleasant, competent, and treated me with humanity. During her 2 days as my nurse, she encouraged me, motivated me, and explained medication when questioned. Mrs. Boyd would be an excellent teacher for some of the nurses at Riverside Hospital. Mrs. Boyd is knowledgeable, has humanity, and was the best thing to help me during my experience at Riverside.  Please recognize Erica Boyd as a DAISY Nurse because others need to see that there are people who honor the Hippocratic oath in deed, not just in word. She was a difference that made a difference in me!!!
