MCPHS is beyond lucky to have Professor Bush as a nursing educator and role model. She is one of the most professional and encouraging Professors I have ever had the pleasure of having in my entire education journey. When I was struggling during my last semester of nursing school, Professor Bush designated her time to help me pass and did everything she could to make sure I could move on. I remember there were nights when we would Zoom and go over class material while she was multitasking and making her family dinner or helping her children with their own things. The fact that she took time out of her busy night to help me meant so much. And I know I’m not the only one she has done this for. This just goes to show that Professor Bush goes above and beyond her job duties. She isn’t in this profession for just herself. She is in this for her students and future nurses. Thank you Professor Bush for making such a positive impact on my life and all your students' lives. You will not be forgotten! ​

She is a role model and leader because instead of looking down on you, she sees you as a part of her team and actually listens to how you feel. She doesn’t act like she’s better than you because of her title. She is empathetic yet professional. I found that in higher education student-teacher relationships are quite different. But with Professor Bush it’s different in a positive way. I genuinely feel her support for her students and empathy toward how intense nursing school is. She looks out for her students. I want to be like her when I become a nurse. She’s my role model. ​
