Erica M Hernandez, RN

It was the two-week mark of my mother’s hospital stay. She had missed Christmas with our family and now her birthday. All she wanted was to feel good and look good that day. Erica set a goal of getting her bathed and made it a priority. She worked patiently with my mom who had limited strength and endurance and taught me how to bathe her once she gets home. Erica did her job with compassion and respect. She empowered both my mother and me. She helped my mother reach her daily goal and helped celebrate with some ice cream. The staff at MMC has been amazing. But Erica was a standout in my mother’s care. She was a saving grace and empowered my mother to feel success and accomplishment after many medical roadblocks had halted any independence. for that, I will always be grateful.
