Erica showed my husband and me so much compassion and care through the worst few days of our lives. Erica was with me when I found out that I had unexpectedly lost my baby. While the MD was telling me my baby didn't have a heartbeat, Erica was down at the bottom of the stretcher, rubbing my legs. I think she knew how overwhelmed I was by finding out such horrific news without my husband. That one small act of kindness helped so much because I knew somebody was there for me. She took everything so slowly for the next few hours, trying to help us get started with the delivery. The following day, Erica was there for the delivery of our baby boy, S. She always made sure I was comfortable and had what I needed.

Erica taught my husband how to change a baby's diaper and showed us how to give a newborn a bath. She took so many pictures of us giving our baby a bath and dressing him because she knew how precious those memories would be, and we would never be given that opportunity again. Erica was an advocate for me in making decisions and helping to make sure all my needs were met. I know that situation couldn't have been easy on her, but you would have never known because she kept a strong, supportive energy towards us. My husband and I can't thank her enough for the love she showed us during the worst and best days of our lives.
